Always alert

Your Motion Sensor sends an alert on your phone when there’s any unexpected movement you should know about.

Arming your Motion Sensor

  • Manual Arming - Whilst your Video Doorbell and Leak Sensors will always be on, you can manually arm your Motion sensors at any time to receive alerts

Here’s How: To receive alerts, simply arm your home by toggling the arm switch at the top of your app’s home page. When your home is armed, the toggle will turn blue.

Good to know: You can manually arm even if Auto Arming or Security Scheduling is set up.

  • Auto Arming - Auto Arming automatically activates your devices when you leave home and deactivates them when you return.

Here’s How: Go to the Settings tab at the bottom of the Sky Protect app home screen. Select Auto Arming and toggle it on. The app will request permission to track your smartphone’s location to automatically arm and disarm your alerts as you come and go.

On iOS devices, make sure location services are ‘always enabled’ for the Sky Protect app. Your home’s location will automatically appear on the map with a "radius" circle around it. You can adjust the size of this circle within the app.

  • Multiple Users: Auto Arming will activate once everyone has left the radius you have set and disarm when someone returns.

  • Notifications: Make sure app notifications and location services are enabled to receive alerts when your home arms or disarms automatically.

  • Android Users: You may need to disable 'battery optimisation' for the Sky Protect app for this feature to work seamlessly. Refer to our Battery Optimisation section for more details.

Good to know: When using Auto Arming, ensure the main arming switch on the home screen is set to ‘off’ to avoid conflicts.

  • Security Scheduling - Schedule your home to arm and disarm automatically at specific times using the Security Scheduling feature.

Here’s how: Go to the Settings tab at the bottom of the Sky Protect app home screen. Select Security Scheduling and set your preferred arm and disarm times. Tap Save.

Good to Know: If Auto Arming is enabled, it takes priority over scheduled settings. Your home will stay armed if you leave during a scheduled disarm time and will disarm when you return.

Keeping you in charge

  • Your app shows battery levels, so you’ll always know when it’s time to replace them.

  • You can check your battery level by tapping into your Motion Sensor in the home screen.
