Why do I need to update the Sky Protect app?

We are making important updates to the Sky Protect app. As part of our constant development, from time to time we need customers to update their apps to make sure there is no interruption to their experience. Users that do not update their app to the latest version will be logged out and no longer receive notifications from their Smart Tech devices.

What version of the Sky Protect app do I need?

The latest version which is 1.30.

How do I check which version I am on?

You can check the app version by going into the Sky Protect app, go to “Settings” and then tap “About”. If you are on app version 1.29 or earlier (e.g. 1.28, 1.27 etc.) then please go to the app store and update your app version to 1.30.

How do I update the Sky Protect app?

That depends if you have an Apple device or an Android device. Go to the App Store (Apple users) or Google Play Store (Android users). Search for “Sky Protect” and click the button “Update”. You can then log back into the Sky Protect app to resume use of your Sky Protect services.
