When you select the button to generate the barcode in the app, your request is immediately transmitted to the French Customs. The French Customs system will then either authorize or deny your barcode generation, a process that typically takes just a few minutes.

However, please note that, on rare occasions, delays might occur within the French Customs services, which could slow down the process significantly. In such cases, it could potentially take an hour or more for the system to return to its normal operational speed.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but unfortunately, we do not have control over this part of the tax refund process as it is entirely handled by the French Customs 😢.

If you encounter any prolonged delay, you may alternatively print the form and seek the validation of a Customs officer.

​If you're not able to access a printer, try to find a french custom officer and ask for their help, they might be able to process it manually.

In case this isn't possible, you can attempt to acquire validation from the French Embassy in your home country.
