Question of the day allows content administrators to set up a campaign, using the assessment modules readily available through the portal and send out one question to the users once a day on a regular basis.
To be able to create a question campaign, you will need access to Content Management and permission Edit question campaign*;
Go to Management Console
Select Content Management
Select Question campaign
You will now be able to search for any active and previous campaign by selecting Search or add a campaign by selecting Add a new campaign.
You will be able to create your campaign by completing the following fields:
Field | Description |
Title | This will be the name given to your campaign and will appear to the end user within the email and in any reporting/performance screens. |
Deep link | This can be used in notification emails as well as a link on their intranet. (If SSO is enabled, the end user will directly access the Question of the day on their account. If SSO not enabled, end user will directed to login page). |
Domain | This will be the domain that you save your campaign to. Only those with access to this domain and the correct permissions can search for and edit the campaign. |
Status | The option to have the campaign as live or suspended. You need to suspend a campaign before deleting it completely. Please note that deleting a campaign will permanently remove all the campaign results and reports. |
Module | This multi selector will allow you choose one or multiple modules to draw questions from. Next to each module you select, you will see the total number of questions available.
NOTE: You will see the last published date next to each editable published module. |
Audience group | Select the audience that you want to participate in your campaign. |
Disable email notifications | If this is enabled, no Question of the day emails will be sent. |
Betting enabled | If enabled, when the users answer questions, they will be asked if they are confident in their answers and then scored on whether they were correct/incorrect. |
Points per question/correct bet/incorrect bet | Change the default points awarded. Answers that are just incorrect will also ways score 0. |
Campaign start date and time | Choose the campaign start and date time using the date picker. |
Access expired questions | If enabled, users will be able to answer questions they have missed and marked as 'Not attempted' throughout the duration of the campaign. |
Link to module and performance section | If disabled, the link to the module and your performance section will not be displayed in the question feedback. |
Frequency | Set how often the campaign should run and the total amount of question asked in a campaign. Finally, you can select which days of the week the email will be sent. |
Once this is set, you will be able to see the details of when the first and last questions will be sent to the users and the date the campaign will expire.
