When you look at your individual Players in Signagelive, you'll see options to change settings, such as how often they check in (Health and Content Checks), their Screen Control, and whether they automatically reboot.
Changing these settings for one Player at a time is easy if you have only a few. But if you have many Players and want them all to have the same settings, you can save a lot of time by using the Multi-Player Settings feature.
Where is the Multi-Player Settings feature?
If you need to apply the same settings to several Players at once, our Multi-Player Settings feature makes it quick and easy. Here's how to access it:
Log in to your Signagelive Network as an Administrator.
Select Network from the main menu.
Select Manage.
Select Players: Use the checkboxes next to the Players' names to select two or more Players you wish to configure.
Once you've selected multiple Players, look for the "Player Settings" icon in the toolbar above the Player list. It typically looks like a cog or gear symbol (⚙️).
Click on the Player Settings icon.
You'll now be presented with the Multi-Player Settings panel, where you can simultaneously apply changes across all your selected Players.
How do I edit my Player Settings?
Now that you've found the feature and clicked on the Player Settings button, you will be presented with the Multi Player Settings options.
Within this modal, you can alter the following areas for the Players you selected:
Information and Purpose | Options |
Content Check: The Content Check setting allows you to set how frequently all selected Players will check for new content deployments. These can be set to happen at scheduled intervals throughout the day or once a day at a specific time, e.g., 19:00. | Use the Amend Content Check Frequency tick-box to amend these options:
|
Health Check: The Health Check setting allows you to set how frequently you wish your selected Players to do a health check to our servers; these can happen at scheduled intervals throughout the day. A Health Check is a way for your Players to tell us that the Player is working and communicating with us. | Use the Amend Health Check Frequency tick-box to amend
|
Scheduled Reboots: The Scheduled Reboot setting allows you to set whether you want the automatic reboot feature turned on or off for all selected players on your Signagelive network. By default, this will be disabled. | Use the Amend Scheduled Reboot Settings tick-box to amend
|
Remote Screenshots: This allows you to activate the Remote Screenshots feature on all selected Players. Remote Screenshots will allow you to view the current state and content displayed on your supported Players. | Use the Amend Remote Screenshots Settings tick-box to amend
|
Screen Control: This allows you to set Screen Control schedules in mass for all selected Players on your network. You no longer have to go to each player to set this up one at a time, and it will save you a lot of time when scheduling. | Use the Amend Screen Control Settings tick-box to amend
|
Proof of Play: It allows you to quickly enable or disable Proof of Play on the selected Players without having to go through each individual Player. | Use the Amend Proof of Play Configuration tick-box to amend
|
Once you've chosen all your options, just click OK. You'll then see a message confirming that your overall Network Settings have been saved successfully.
Please remember, you can still change individual Players' settings later if you need to. The Network Settings you just saved will apply to all other Players, but the Player Settings tool itself won't show them here; it only lets you edit settings for the Players you've currently selected.
