Skrevet av Amanda Larsen

Note that being able to use the app to register hours depends on your company agreement with SameSystem. Reach out to your manager or administrator if you are unsure about this.

This article will give you a complete overview of the technical requirements when using the SameSystem Check-In App to register your working hours, such as:

  • Download and login

  • App version and OS (operative system)

  • Permissions and Time Registration

  • Requirements needed from your manager

Need specific info on how to check-in? This article is the one for you 🙌

Download and Login

  1. ✅ Make sure you have downloaded the app on your mobile device. The app is called Check-In, and you can find it on App Store (iPhone), or Google Play (Android).

  2. ✅ Open the app, and log in using your SameSystem-credentials.
Don't know what your login credentials are? Please reach out to your manager or administrator to get further help.

Tip: If you have internet access, you can press "Forgot password" using this link to reset your password via mail. Please note, this only works if you've been logged into SameSystem at least once before.

    OS & App version

  3. ✅ Make sure you have the latest app version.

If you're unsure what app version you have, search after "check-in" on either App Store or Google Play, and check if you're able to update the app. If you can't, you probably have the latest version already.

Having issues figuring out what app version you have? Send us a chat message -our Support teams might be able to figure it out for you.

Tip: We recommend enabling your mobile device to update the app in the background, so you don't have to spend time wondering whether you need to update it or not. Check out this article to learn how to enable background updates to the Check-In app.

  4. ✅ Make sure you have a compatible OS (operative system). For iOS (iPhones) the minimum requirement is version 12.0. For Android devices, the minimum requirement is version 5.0.

Tip: Read this article if you're unsure of how to check what your current OS is.

    Permissions and Time Registration

  5. ✅ Make sure you have these settings permitted and activated on your phone;
    - Bluetooth ON
    - Bluetooth permission to the app ON
    - GPS/location ON
    - GPS/location permission to the app ON
    - Precise location ON (iPhone only)

Don't worry if you can't find these settings on your phone. If some of the settings are not activated, the app will tell you so and direct you to the correct settings on your phone, as shown below here from an iPhone device:

    iOS screen without location access

  6. ✅ When checking in/out, make sure you are standing in close range (approx. 0-5 meters) to the iBeacon. Why?🤔 The iBeacon is a small Bluetooth device that connects to your phone when you are within close range. This connection informs the system that you are located at your place of work, and consequently, it will enable you to check in.

Don't know where your iBeacon is located? Please reach out to one of your colleagues or your manager.

Needed from the department manager:

  1. ❗ The schedule must be released for you to be able to check in and out.
If the app says you don't have anything planned for today, even though you have a shift, we advise you to reach out to your manager as the reason could be that the schedule hasn't been published for you.

  2. ❗ The iBeacon must be registered. The store manager has to activate the beacon from their own mobile device, for you to be able to check in. If the beacon is not activated, the app will tell you that it's "missing beacon", as shown below. Reach out to your manager if this is the case.

That's it!

Once you've checked these 6 boxes, you should be all set and ready to use the SameSystem app. In the help section below we've listed other helpful articles to get you even more familiar with some of the most commonly used features within the app:
