Actual vs Planned Hours
Core calculation
Productive Hours = Working Hours − Break.
All worked hours count, including hours worked outside opening hours — before opening, after closing, or on days the location is closed.
Two optional features can be enabled to refine this: Employee Productivity and Task Productivity. If your company uses neither, the calculation above is the full picture. If these are enabled, it affects the result as follows.
Employee Productivity
This is a rate set per employee and is applied to their entire shift.
Productive Hours = (Working Hours − Break) × Employee Productivity
Example: An 8-hour shift with a 1-hour break, at 80% employee productivity.
Period | Hours | Calculation | Productive Hours |
Full shift (after break) | 7 | 7 × 0,80 | 5,6 |
Zone Productivity
A rate set per zone. Like Employee Productivity, it applies to the entire shift - a shift is assigned to one zone, so the rate covers all of its hours.
Example: The same shift, now placed in a zone rated at 90% productivity.
Period | Hours | Calculation | Productive Hours |
Full shift (after break) | 7 | 7 × 0,80 × 0,90 | 5,04 |
Task Productivity
This is a rate set per task and is applied only to the hours spent on that task - not to the rest of the shift. Remaining hours use Employee Productivity alone.
Example: The same employee spends 3 of their 7 working hours on a task rated at 50% productivity.
Period | Hours | Calculation | Productive Hours |
On task | 3 | 3 × 0,80 × 0,50 | 1,2 |
Rest of shift | 4 | 4 × 0,80 | 3,2 |
Total | 7 |
| 4,4 |
The two rates compound rather than replace each other: one hour at 50% employee productivity and 50% task productivity yields 0,25 productive hours, not 0,5.
