Supported browsers & OS for SameSystem

To get the best experience with SameSystem, it is important that you are using an up-to-date browser. This article explains which browsers we support and what to do if something is not working as expected.

Written by Amanda Larsen

Which browsers do we support?

We support the following browsers:

  • Google Chrome version 118 or newer

  • Safari version 17.0 or newer

  • Opera version 104 or newer

As a general rule, if your browser is more than 30 months old, we cannot guarantee that all features will work correctly.

Why does this change over time?

Browser support is not a fixed list — it updates regularly as the web evolves. When new browser features become widely available, we start using them in SameSystem, which means older browsers may gradually stop working as expected. This happens roughly on a monthly basis.

Think of it like keeping your phone updated — the newer the version, the better everything works.

What should I do if something is not working?

First, check which browser and version you are using. You can usually find this in your browser's settings or by searching "what browser am I using" in Google.

If your browser is outdated, we recommend updating it to the latest version. This is free and usually takes less than a minute.

If you are already on a supported version and still experiencing issues, please reach out to our support team.

Tips and FAQs

Can I use Firefox or Microsoft Edge? These browsers are not officially listed, but may still work. For the best experience, we recommend sticking to Chrome, Safari, or Opera.

What about mobile browsers? For mobile use, we recommend using the SameSystem app rather than a mobile browser.

How do I update my browser? In most browsers, go to Settings → Help → About, and it will check for updates automatically.
