Introduction to Participant Screening

Overview of Participant Screening: how closed-ended questions qualify, disqualify, or segment applicants, plus quota limits, manual approval, and pre-screening during a Study's Draft state.

What Screening Questions Can Do

Participants can be asked a series of closed and open-ended questions before they join a Study.

The closed-ended questions can contain choices that:

  • Trigger qualification or disqualification

  • Add the participant to a Segment

There is an option available to set quota limits tied to Segments for a Recollective Study space to ensure the desired proportionality of respondents.

There is also a manual approval option that forces qualified participants to still have their responses reviewed by a Study Analyst or Moderator before getting access to the actual Study environment and content.
