Adding New Basic Segments

How to add a new Basic Segment manually or assign participants to Basic Segments via Bulk Import.

To add a new Basic Segment manually:

  1. Go to Site Administration > Panelists > Segments

  2. Click New Segment

  3. Select Basic Segment

  4. Enter a name for the Segment and click Save

To add or assign participants to Basic Segments using a Bulk Import:

  • Each column in your spreadsheet must have a header.

  • Place a 1 in the column to assign a panelist to that Segment.

  • When you import your spreadsheet, you will need to review each column's data:

    • If this is a brand new Segment, select New Segment and update the Segment name as needed.

    • If this is an existing Segment on the site, select Assign Segment and pick the corresponding Segment from the dropdown list.
