Who can Customize Study and Site Language Settings?
Only Analysts will be able to select and configure Study and Participant Languages. Analysts will be able to configure available languages at the site level.
Enable Additional Languages at the Site Level
If a target language is missing from the dropdown list during study creation, a Site Administrator must enable it globally for the site first.
Log in as a Site Administrator and navigate to Site Administration > Settings > Basic Settings.
Locate the International Settings section.
Select and enable the required language(s) using the Available Languages dropdown.
Click your Apply Settings.
Once enabled at the site level, the language will be available in the Study Languages dropdown during study creation.
Customizing Study Language During Study Creation
Set a unique language for a specific study space during the creation process by following these steps:
Click Add Study on the Site Dashboard.
Locate the Study Languages dropdown menu.
Select your target language(s):
Single Study Language: Select one language. This language will apply to both administrators and participants.
Multiple Study Languages: If you select more than one Study Language, a subsequent Participant Languages dropdown menu will automatically appear.
(Optional for Multi-Language Studies) In the Participant Languages dropdown, refine which of the selected Study Languages should be available to Admins and which should be visible to participants.
Click Next to complete the study creation process.
How to Change Your Display Language
When an Administrator sets a new Study Language, the study interface will continue to appear in your site’s default language. To view the platform interface in the selected Study Language:
Locate the Language Preferences menu in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Change your Display Language to the desired Study Language.
Editing Study Languages after Study Creation
Once a study is created, Analysts and Moderators cannot edit the configured Study Languages. If you need to modify or edit Study Languages after a study has been created, contact Support for assistance.
You can reference a study's configured language settings at any time by navigating to Study Admin > Study Settings > Language.
