Yes. With Survey Builder, you can create short surveys directly in Prolific with up to five multiple-choice questions. This is ideal for:
Quick polls
Custom screening questions
Simple participant surveys
Survey Builder limitations
Survey Builder should not be used to collect sensitive information. This includes questions about:
Race or ethnicity
Sexual orientation
Political views
Religion or beliefs
Medical records or health information
Trade union membership
Survey Builder is currently available to researchers based in:
UK
EEA
Canada
New Zealand

USA
If your study requires more complex questionnaires or asks sensitive questions, you'll need to use external survey or experiment software. See our guides on integrating survey and experimental software with Prolific to get started.
Can I share a draft study with colleagues?
Yes. The easiest way to collaborate is to invite colleagues to your workspace.
Once they've joined your workspace, they can:
View your draft study
Check your study settings
Preview the participant experience before you launch
How do I duplicate a study?
You can duplicate a study from the study's Action menu on the study set up page.
When you duplicate a study, Prolific copies:
All study settings
Any prescreeners you've added
The study completion code
During duplication, you'll be asked whether you'd like to block participants from your original study.
Block original participants
Choose Block original participants if you want to prevent anyone who completed the original study from taking part in the duplicate. Prolific will automatically create a blocklist for you.
Allow original participants
Choose Allow original participants if you'd like previous participants to be eligible for the duplicated study.
You can manage blocklists at any time from the Recruit participants section of your study setup.
How do I delete a study?
You can delete a study from the Action menu on the study set up page, but only while it is still in Draft status.
Studies that are active, paused, or completed cannot be deleted.
My duplicated studies have the same completion code. Is that a problem?
No. When you duplicate a study, the completion code is copied along with the rest of the study settings.
It's perfectly fine for multiple studies to use the same completion code.
Can I use a custom completion code?
Yes. You can choose your own completion code during study setup using Custom completion codes.
You can:
Use the same custom code for every participant, or
Provide different completion codes to different participants.
To add a different custom code:
On the study set up page, scroll to Completion paths.
Click + Add a completion path to create a custom completion codes.
This will generate a custom completion code for that particular code.
If you use your own completion codes, participant submissions will display an Unexpected completion code alert. This is expected and can safely be ignored, you can review and approve submissions as normal.
