Profile redirection
When a visitor or driver selects the wrong profile on the kiosk, Peripass will attempt to redirect them to the correct profile. This will only happen under the following circumstances:
The visitor is pre-registered in Peripass.
The visitor enters the correct reference.
Both the original and the “corrected” profile have automatic approval enabled.
🖥️ How to configure
You can enable this per kiosk on Configuration > Self Service Kiosk > Edit kiosk > Available profiles for registration.
Display a prefix
By displaying a prefix on the kiosk, drivers will more easily understand which reference number is being requested.
🖥️ How to configure
You can enable this per field on Configuration > Fields > Edit field. More information: Visitor custom fields | Prefix to show on the kiosk
Ignore characters and prefixes
Peripass can ignore specific characters (e.g. a hyphen “-”) and prefixes when searching match with a pre-registered visitor.
🖥️ How to configure
You can enable this per field on Configuration > Fields > Edit field. More information: Visitor custom fields | Ignore character(s) when used for automatic approval
Find my reference
Drivers often get stuck at the reference step — they can't find the right reference, or don't know what it looks like. The Find my reference assistant lets a driver scan a physical document (for example a transport order or delivery note) so Peripass can automatically match it to the correct reference, instead of typing it manually.
On the reference input screen, the driver taps Scan a document for a reference, scans the document, and Peripass matches the reference for them.
Where scanning happens
Mobile registration — uses the standard camera on the driver's phone.
Physical kiosk — uses the kiosk's standard document scanning module.
This scans a document only to find the matching reference — it does not store the document. To capture and store documents (CMR, BOL, …) during registration, see Contactless document handling.
🖥️ How to configure
No configuration needed. Find my reference is available by default whenever the required hardware is present — the phone camera on mobile registration, or the document scanning module on a physical kiosk. On a kiosk without a scanning module, the Scan a document for a reference button is simply not shown.
