Panorays’ Cyber Posture Assessment includes powerful tools for asset discovery and visibility. Through the Assets widget and the Asset Details side panel, users can explore, review, and manage their digital footprint—whether for their own organization or suppliers.
🔎 Using the Asset List View
In the Assets section, you’ll find tools to manage and filter the company’s discovered assets:
Search
Use the Search Bar to locate specific assets by name, IP, or other identifiers.
Filters
Geolocation – Displays the location where the asset is hosted. Click on the map or filter by country.
Asset Type – Filter by domains, subdomains, IPs, or IP ranges.
Status
Active: The asset is publicly reachable.
Inactive: The asset exists but is currently unresponsive.
Lifecycle Status:
Pending Assessment – Waiting for the next scan cycle.
Pending Review – Manually added and awaiting Panorays review.
Assigned – Officially part of the asset inventory.
In Dispute – Under user dispute for review.
Withdrawn – Dispute accepted; asset removed.
Assigned and Verified – Dispute rejected; asset remains.
If an asset has 0 findings, no security issues were detected during the last assessment.
❓ What Are Asset Details?
The Asset Details side panel provides enriched metadata and insights about each discovered internet-facing asset. This panel displays information such as:
DNS
Network
Registration
Web-related data
This enhanced visibility enables you to understand how each asset was discovered and what public data Panorays has aggregated.
🔍 Where to View Asset Details
You can view assets and asset details in the following places:
For Your Own Company
Navigate to Security Profile.
Click the building icon and select Assets.
For a Supplier
Go to the supplier’s profile page.
Click the Assets widget or the asset map to explore.
Once in the Assets view, click on “Show Asset Details” next to any asset to open the side panel.
➕ Adding New Assets
If you identify assets that are missing from your Security Profile, you can:
Add individually via the Assets panel
Bulk upload using the upload tool
Once added, assets undergo assessment and will impact your Cyber Posture Rating.
Evaluators can also add assets to a supplier’s list. These will undergo Panorays' internal review. Status updates will be sent by email.
💡If you've got the message “Asset Already Exists”, this meams system detects an asset, but its confidence score is below 80%, it is automatically added to the asset list in 'Ignore' mode.
An asset remains in this mode until it is manually verified, either through a back-office review or by a user from the company to which the asset was added.
To request the addition of this asset, please contact Support at support@panorays.com.
⚡ Disputing Asset
If any asset data appears incorrect, use the Claim Dispute feature.
We recommend disputing entire domains rather than individual subdomains or IP addresses.
If the domain dispute is accepted, all associated subdomains and IPs will also be removed.
💡Note: Dispute can be done on your own company
💡 Summary
Panorays' asset discovery offers transparency, accuracy, and control over the organization's attack surface. Use the Assets widget and Asset Details side panel to stay on top of your cyber posture and ensure all asset data is up to date and actionable.
