Allowing microphone access on your device can significantly enhance your experience when using OurMind. In this article, we’ll explain how to test, connect, and grant the microphone access to your browser.
Testing
You can test whether the microphone is properly capturing audio. This ensures the microphone is functioning correctly. Testing can be done through this link: Test Microphone.
Connecting
After testing the microphone, it needs to be connected to the device. The method of connection will vary depending on the type of microphone you have.
Wired Microphone: Plug it into the USB/USBC port of your computer or laptop.
Bluetooth Microphone: Pair the microphone with your laptop, computer, or phone through the device's settings.
Granting Browser Access
As the final step, you will need to grant microphone access to your browser. The process may differ depending on the browser you use.
Google Chrome
In Google Chrome, you can grant microphone access by clicking the settings icon located in the top left corner of the address bar. Here, you can double-check if the microphone has access. If it doesn’t, you can enable access directly from this menu.
Safari
Safari always requests permission when opening a website. When you open the OurMind.ai website and start a consultation, Safari will display a pop-up message asking you to allow microphone access for audio recordings.
Firefox
In Firefox, you’ll see a pop-up on the website asking for microphone access to make audio recordings. If you don’t receive the pop-up, you can always grant access manually via the settings in the top left corner of the address bar.
Microsoft Edge
In Microsoft Edge, you can enable microphone access from the settings in the top left corner of the address bar. Alternatively, some websites may display a pop-up requesting microphone access, which you can use to grant access as well.
