Charger connectors lock into a vehicle's charging port by a mechanism within the vehicle itself. This is a security measure to ensure that chargers are not improperly removed.
Sometimes, there are communication issues and the vehicle keeps the charger locked, even if the session was terminated.
There are a few things you can do to try and release the connectors:
1. Lock and unlock your car a number of times.
2. Start a new session and let it time out.
3. Locate the emergency release mechanism inside the vehicle. This will be different for every car. Please refer to your manual.
If none of the above works, please call our 24hr helpline on 0800 058 8400 where our team are on hand to help.
