Workplace allows you to easily import your resources in one go via the Resources Import functionality. You can find it under Settings > Import. Once imported, you can then add them to your floor plans.
Import resources
If there are any errors in your file, they will be shown in red when you attempt to import. Please correct them as indicated in the message and reimport the file.
When importing resources, use the Resource Import template under Settings > Import > Resources.
Each resource in your file needs the correct value in the "Type" column so the import creates the right kind of object. Use one of the following types:
Meeting room –
meeting_roomPrivate office –
team_roomNeighborhood –
neighborhoodHotdesk –
hotdeskDedicated desk –
desk
The left side is the resource as it appears in Workplace, and the value in the right column is what you enter in the "Type" column of your import file. For example, a private office uses the type team_room, not private_office.
Important: Type values must be lowercase and match exactly one of the values above. If the "Type" column is empty, capitalized, or uses an unrecognized value, the import fails, and an error message appears for that row.
Add imported resources to a floor plan
Once you have imported your resources, you can open a floor plan and place them in their designated places.
You will find them on the left pane under Unallocated. Clicking Add to floor plan selects the resource, and you can drop it in place.
Export resources
To export resource data from Workplace, go to Workplace Management > Resources and select the resources you want to export. Then, click the Export button and save the CSV file to your computer:
The CSV file contains the following columns:
Name
Resource Type
Status
Location
Floor
Neighborhood
Assignee
Assignee Email
When exporting resources, the export file contains fields that differ from the import template and should not be used to re-import resources.
