In OfficeRnD, you can make an interactive parking space floor plan by assigning parking slots to members and keeping track of their occupancy. This article describes creating a parking slot resource type with a floor plan.
Before you start
1. Add a parking slot resource type and choose a business model
Depending on the business model you want to use, do one of the following:
If you want members to pay a monthly fee (membership) for using a parking slot, create a dedicated parking plan →
If you want members to book parking slots on the Calendar page:
2. Design the parking slot floor plan
Contact support@officernd.com to design your parking slot floor plan using the parking slot zone type.
3. Add resources to the floor plan
When the floor plan is ready, add Parking Slot resources to it.
Open the parking slot floor plan.
Click the zone you want to assign.
Click + Add and create a new parking slot resource:
Name – Specify a name for your parking slot resource (e.g., "Parking Lot 001").
Type – Leave the pre-selected parking slot type.
Location – Select the location of the parking slot.
Floor – Select the floor on which your parking slot will be available.
Target (only visible for assignable Resource Types) – Set a Target Plan only if members purchase the parking slot as a monthly membership.
Size – Set to "1".
Available From/To – Select the period of exploitation. The To date can remain empty.
(Optional) Calendar – To show the parking slot on a calendar, open this tab and configure the following settings:
Rate – Select a Resource Rate.
Description – Input a description.
Image – Upload an image representing the parking slot on the members portal.
Color – Select a color representing the parking slot on the members portal.
Privacy – Adjust the privacy settings to control who can see and book the resource.
Click Add.
4. Assign parking slot resources to members
If you have decided to create assignable parking slot resources, you can assign a parking slot to a specific member. Follow these steps:
Open the parking slot floor plan.
Select a slot and click Assign in the Membership section on the right side of the page.
In the Assign Resource dialog, select:
Resource – Leave the pre-selected parking slot resource.
Membership – Select an active parking slot membership.
