Set Up Revenue Targets

Learn how to assign and manage revenue targets for resources, floors, and locations in OfficeRnD Flex to track financial performance.

Updated over a week ago

OfficeRnD Flex allows you to define and track revenue targets across your workspace at three levels: resource, floor, and location. These targets help you monitor revenue performance, compare actuals against goals, and support strategic planning and occupancy optimization.

By the end of this article, you will be able to assign monthly revenue targets at each level, understand how targets roll up, and know where to make edits depending on your tracking needs.

Summary

  • Revenue targets can be set for resources, floors, and locations.

  • Revenue targets roll up: resource → floor → location.

  • Higher-level targets override those at lower levels.

  • Floor and location targets are calculated as the sum of the resource targets.

  • Resource-level targets are suitable for itemized tracking, while location-level targets help track overall performance.

How revenue targets work

Revenue targets help you compare expected versus actual income from your workspaces. They can be defined at three levels:

  • Resource targets: For all individual resources, such as desks and private offices.

  • Floor targets: For a group of resources on a specific floor.

  • Location targets: For the entire location.

Higher-level targets override totals from lower levels:

  • A floor target overrides the sum of the resource targets on that floor.

  • A location target overrides the total from the floor and resource targets within the location.

This structure provides flexibility to set goals at a granular level or consolidate them for strategic reporting.

Set resource targets

Resource targets let you assign expected monthly revenue for individual items, such as dedicated desks or offices.

To set a resource target:

  1. Open the Space Hub and find the resource you want to edit.

  2. Click the cogwheel next to the resource and select Edit.

  3. Open the Target drop-down menu and select the target plan.

  4. Click Update.

Floor and location targets are automatically calculated as the sum of the resource targets.

Set floor targets

You can define monthly revenue targets for entire floors.

To set a floor target:

  1. Open the Space Hub.

  2. Click the cogwheel icon next to the floor and select Edit.

  3. Enter the expected monthly revenue target in the Target Revenue field.

  4. Click Update.

Floor targets will override the sum of any resource targets on the same floor. Unless a location target is set, these targets roll up to the location level.

Set location targets

Use location targets to track high-level revenue goals across the entire space.

To set a location-level target:

  1. Open the Space Hub and select a location to open its settings.

  2. Open the Billing & Revenue tab.

  3. Set the monthly target revenue and specify the period it applies to.

  4. Click Update.

Location targets override the sum of all floor and resource-level targets beneath them.

FAQ: Revenue targets

What happens if I set both resource and floor targets?

The floor target will override the total of the resource targets under that floor.

Do location-level targets override all other targets?

Yes. When a location target is defined, it overrides all underlying floor and resource-level targets.

Can I use resource targets for all types of workspaces?

Yes. Resource targets can be set for any individual resource, such as a desk, private office, or meeting room.

Where do I set the period for a location-level target?

Go to the Space module, select the location, then open the Billing & Revenue tab to define the target period.

Can I edit targets later if business goals change?

Yes. You can update any target at any time by going back to the corresponding edit screen for the resource, floor, or location.

Will the floor and resource targets automatically update the location total?

Floor and resource targets automatically update the location total only if a location-level target is not manually set. If a location target exists, it takes priority and will not reflect the sum of floor and resource targets.
