In OfficeRnD, you can create interactive floor plans to represent your office space. Using your original floor plans (in CAD, PDF, or image format), OfficeRnD adds interactive layers to let you manage desks, offices, Meeting Rooms, and other resources. You can move resources, assign them to members or teams, and color-code them based on availability.
How to get started
To set up your floor plans, follow these steps:
Import your floor plans:
Send your floor plans to support@officernd.com.
The OfficeRnD team will upload them, allowing you to review and edit them in "Design" mode.
Map Desks, Offices, and Meeting Rooms to shapes on the floor plan.
Assign resources to members or teams.
Map shapes to new resources
If you have no existing resources in the system, follow these steps to map shapes to new resources:
Go to Space
> Locations and click a floor to open its floor plan.
Select a shape and click Add.
In the General tab, provide the resource details:
Name: Add a clear, user-friendly name.
Type: The Resource Type is selected by default, based on the shape/shape type. Please do not change it.
Location: This is auto-selected based on the floor. Only available if you have more than one location.
Size: Specify the size for occupancy calculations. You can provide the office size in number of desks ("people) or square footage ("ft2").
Availability Period: Define when the resource is available.
In the Calendar tab, define the following properties; they may vary depending on the resource type:
Rate: Select a Resource Rate to determine booking charges.
Description: Provide details about the resource.
Image: Add a preview image. It is displayed on the Member Portal and Public Calendars.
Color: Choose a color for calendar differentiation.
Privacy: Set visibility levels for members and plans. You can choose from the following privacy options:
Full Access / Public – Select this option to make the resource available to all members and non-members and make it visible on the Public Calendar. If you want to configure the visibility further, clear this option to see the next privacy option.
Active Members – Select this option to make the resource available only to active members. If you want to configure the privacy options further, clear this option.
Select members – Add members to make the resource available only to the selected members. Leave the field empty to make the resource available to admins only.
Select plans – Add Billing Plans to make the resource available only to members with the selected plans.
Click Add (or Update).
Map shapes to existing resources
To link shapes to already created resources:
Open the floor plan for a location.
Select a shape and choose a resource from the -No Resource- dropdown menu in the side panel.
Change a shape mapping
To update the resource linked to a shape:
Open the floor plan for a location.
Select the shape you want to update.
Click Change to modify the mapping.
Find a resource on a floor plan
If you have many floor plans and lots of resources, it can be difficult to search through the busy floor plans. To make it easier, you can quickly locate a resource on any floor plan by opening the resource's settings.
For example, if you want to find a specific Private Office on a floor plan, follow these steps:
Go to Space
> Private Offices.
Click the cogwheel
next to an office and select Find on floor plan.
