With the on-site registration flow, you can check in visitors quickly and clearly during your event. In this article, you will learn how the process works, which statuses are visible in the registration overview, and which additional options you can use during check-in.
How does the on-site registration flow work?
1. The visitor registers for the event
The visitor registers through the link in the invitation. After registering, the visitor:
receives a confirmation email
receives an e-ticket
is given the status “Registered” in the overview
2. Statuses on the day of the event
On the day of the event, two additional filters automatically appear in the registration overview:
Present
Absent
As long as a visitor has not been checked in yet, they will automatically be marked as absent.
3. The visitor arrives at the venue
When the visitor arrives at the event, they can be checked in.
Ask visitors at the entrance to have their e-ticket ready. This speeds up the check-in process.
Tip: Use clear signage at the entrance to show visitors where and how they can check in.
4. The visitor is checked in
You can check in visitors in two ways:
by scanning the e-ticket with the Momice Check-in app on a smartphone
by allowing visitors to check themselves in contactlessly using a tablet
After check-in, the registration overview automatically shows which registered visitors are present or absent.
Visitors without an e-ticket
Did a visitor forget to bring their e-ticket? If so, you can manually mark that person as present in the registration overview.
If the visitor has a personal page, you can look up the e-ticket there at any time.
Please note: Even without an e-ticket, a visitor can still be checked in manually.
Printing badges during check-in
Do you work with badges? If so, you can automatically print a label for the visitor’s badge while scanning.
This allows you to combine check-in and badge printing in one action.
Using multiple scan locations
You can create multiple scan locations. This is useful if you want to:
check in visitors at multiple locations at the same time
organize a separate check-in for each workshop or room
You can assign a unique login code to each scan location. This helps you control who has access to scanning at the different locations during your event.
Setting access times per ticket
You can set access times for each ticket. The ticket will then only be valid during the specified time slot.
This is useful when you work with:
different entry time blocks
sessions or workshops
staggered arrival times
Please note: In that case, a ticket will only work during its assigned time slot.
