Event website settings

Determine your basic settings for your event website in Step 1 of the Website Module.

When you create a new event, you start in the Settings Module. This is where you configure the basics of your event website.

Here, you define:

  • the title of your event

  • the date and duration

  • the event website URL

  • the event type

  • the language

  • whether registration closes on a specific date or after a certain number of registrations

After that, you can set up the design of your website and fill the pages with content. This is also where you can set a password.

Event title

The title is the name of your event. This name is:

  • shown in your dashboard

  • used as the basis in communication with your contacts

Are you working with multiple languages? If so, you need to manually adjust the title for each language via Language in Settings Module > Basic.

Tip: Use a title in each language that fits your target audience. This keeps your communication clear and professional.

Live and offline status

Your event website is online for a limited period by default. These are the standard rules:

  • Your website can go live up to 6 months before the event.

  • You can start inviting people up to 6 months before the event.

  • Your event can last a maximum of 7 days.

  • After the event date, the website remains online for 30 days.

  • After that, the event is automatically archived and its status changes to offline.

Event date and duration

You can set a start and end date for your event yourself. The start and end date can be no more than 31 days apart.

Please note: Are you organizing a longer event? In special cases, Momice may make an exception. Please contact support for this.

Event site URL

Momice automatically generates a unique URL for each event. The standard format is: {unique-code}.momice.events

Would you like a custom URL for your event website? Please contact support at support@momice.com.

Event type

You can choose from three event types:

  • In-person

  • Online

  • Hybrid

Choose Hybrid if your event takes place both in-person and online. For an online or hybrid event, you can use the online features on the Program page.

Please note: Would you like to change the event type later? Please contact support.

Set language

The Momice event website can be created in 7 languages. For each language, you can adjust, among other things:

  • the event website

  • the registration page

  • the tickets

  • the emails

Please note: The Survey page can only be created in one language.

Set password

You can protect your event website with a password. To do this, go to: Website Module > Settings > Password.

Important to know:

  • This password is not personal.

  • All visitors use the same password.

  • You choose the password yourself.

  • Visitors must enter the password again each time they visit the website.

Tip: Only use a password if you want to restrict access to the website to a limited group of visitors.
