GPS Preconditions

For Mobaro to create a Result map, it must first obtain permission to read and utilize the device's location from the Performing User.

Tip: The below guides will show you how to both check and ensure Mobaro is able to read a device's location:

Warning: Some devices allow users to choose between approximate and exact locations. Selecting approximate location can affect how Mobaro interprets the device's location, potentially causing it to be perceived as outside the predefined radius even if it is within it. Therefore, it is recommended to allow exact location permissions for the Mobaro app.

How to view the Result map

Understanding the different pins

In the Result map, pins are used to visually represent the completion status and scoring of various elements in a Checklist. Each pin's color and shape provide specific information about the location and status of the elements. The color of a pin indicates the score achieved for the corresponding element, while the shape of a pin reveals additional details, such as whether the element is part of a group or if multiple questions are answered at the same location.

Pin Colors

Green Pin: Indicates that the question or element was completed with the maximum possible score.

Yellow Pin: Indicates that the question or element is completed with an amount of points between the minimum and maximum span of possible points.

Red Pin: Indicates that the question or element was completed with the minimum possible score.

Grey Pin: Indicates that the question or element was completed but no points were awarded.

Black Pin: Indicates the geographical position set for the Location.

Pin Icons

Pin with Dot: Indicates that the pin represents either a single item or part of a group of elements located at the same geographical position. Additionally, it means the pin is unclicked/unopened in the side panel.

Pin with Plus: Indicates that there are multiple questions or elements answered at the same geographical location. Clicking this pin will open a side panel containing all the referenced questions or elements.

Pin with Equal: Indicates a specific question or element. Clicking this pin will open a side panel displaying only that question or element.

Interpreting GPS accuracy confidence

The accuracy of GPS locations on the Result map depends on the quality of the Assignee's device and various environmental factors. When viewing the map, the system displays a colorized radius when hovering or clicking on each pinpoint, indicating the system's confidence level in the pinpoint's accuracy. The following table explains the different confidence levels represented by the colors:

Radius

Confidence Level

Confidence Radius

High

0-15 meters / 0-49 feet

Moderate

15-50 meters / 49-164 feet

Low

Over 50 meters / +164 feet

Note: The accuracy of GPS markers is influenced by the quality of the assignee's device, connectivity, and other external factors. Therefore, some GPS markers may be less accurate. Please use caution when interpreting these markers.
