Overview
Once Assignments are flowing, you'll want to see the bigger picture — how much work is open, what's overdue, who's carrying the load, and how it breaks down by Location and Category. This article covers the ways to report on Assignments in Mobaro and how to export the data for analysis or sharing.
Users must be Super Users or have the following Role to view and export Assignment data:
Assignments: View (with access to the relevant Locations)
Why this matters: Assignment data is an operational health signal. Tracking completion and overdue tasks by Location and Category turns a working list into insight you can act on and share with leadership.
Ways to report on Assignments
Method | Best for |
Assignment Overview widget | An at-a-glance Dashboard summary by Category, assignee, Location, and completion status. |
Assignments list filters | Ad hoc questions — overdue tasks, a specific assignee's open work, a single Category. |
Export | Pulling Assignment records out of Mobaro for deeper analysis or sharing. |
Using the Assignment Overview widget
The Assignment Overview widget summarizes Assignments across Categories, assignees, and Locations, and shows the share of completed, in-progress, and overdue tasks. It updates as Assignments change and supports combining filters (for example Location and Category together). For setup and options, see Assignment Overview widget.
Filtering the Assignments list
1. Open the Assignments page
In the Mobaro Backend, go to Assignments.
2. Apply filters
Narrow the list by status, priority, Location, assignee, and Category to answer a specific question — for example, all overdue Safety Assignments at one Location.
3. Sort by deadline
Sort by due date to surface overdue and upcoming work at the top of the list.
Exporting Assignment data
1. Filter to the Assignments you want
Apply filters first — the export reflects the current view, so a focused list produces a focused export.
2. Run the export
Use the Export option on the Assignments page to download the data for use in a spreadsheet or another reporting tool.
Best practice: For recurring reviews, standardize on a small set of filters (for example status and Category) so each export is comparable week to week.
Example: a weekly overdue review
Scenario
An operations manager runs a Monday review of every overdue Assignment across the park.
Setup
A Dashboard includes the Assignment Overview widget filtered to all Locations.
The Assignments list is filtered to overdue tasks and sorted by due date.
Result
The manager sees overdue counts by Location and Category at a glance, then exports the filtered list to circulate to team leads.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How current is the Assignment Overview widget?
A: It reflects Assignments in real time, updating as they're created, changed, or completed.
Q: Will an export include Assignments I can't normally see?
A: No. Exports respect your Location and Assignment permissions, just like the on-screen list.
Q: Can I report on custom states and priorities from an Assignment Definition?
A: Yes. Assignments using a Definition report under that Definition's states, priorities, and Categories.
Q: Can I track completion rates over time?
A: Use the Assignment Overview widget for current completion status, and exports for period-over-period analysis in a spreadsheet.
