Overview

RideOps-enabled customers will now be able to log and track all Operators and Attendants working at a specific Location in real-time via the RideOps application.

Users must be Super Users or have the following Roles to create and manage Attendants and Positions:

  • Locations: Modify

  • User Groups: View

Creating a Position

To track Attendants, first create Positions for each RideOps-enabled Location. These Positions can be optionally marked as mandatory, requiring staffing before the ride can be marked "Ready to Operate," or left as optional, with no impact on readiness status.

To create a Position for a Location, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Locations page on the backend

  2. Select a Location and and click the edit icon

  3. Scroll down to the RideOps section and click on RideOps Settings

  4. Once in the modal, scroll to find the Positions section and click on Add Position

  5. To create a Position, supply the following:

    1. Position Name*

    2. Description

    3. Dictate whether this Position is mandatory or optional to open the Location

    4. Attached required Competencies to be able to work this Position

  6. Click Save and repeat as necessary

Note: Positions marked as Mandatory must be staffed before a Location can be registered as "Ready for Operation." If a mandatory Position is not filled, Operators will not be able to open a Location via RideOps.

Defining Attendants

Attendants are Users assigned to work the Positions created for each Location. Attendants are separate from the Operator position for a Location and are intended to be simply logged to one or multiple positions.

To define a Location's Attendants, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Locations page on the backend

  2. Select a Location and and click the edit icon

  3. Scroll down to the RideOps section and click on RideOps Settings

  4. Once in the modal, scroll to find the Attendants section

  5. To add Attendants, add Users and/or User Groups to the Attendant section

    1. If Attendants need additional Competencies to work at a Location, define these in the Required Competencies section.

Note: The Required Competencies defined via the Attendants section will also apply in addition to any Competencies added to an individual Position. Please keep this in mind when defining required Competencies for Attendants overall as well as for specific Positions.

Important: When using User Groups as Attendants, all Users from these groups will be able to attend this Location without considering the normal Location membership.
