Transfer rejected — beneficiary name mismatch

Why incoming transfers to your virtual account get rejected when the sender's beneficiary name doesn't exactly match your registered name.

If an incoming transfer to your virtual account was rejected, the most common cause is a beneficiary name mismatch.

Why transfers get rejected

To protect users and comply with security requirements, banking partners require exact name matching for all incoming transfers. The beneficiary name the sender enters must exactly match your registered account holder name in MiniPay.

If the names do not match perfectly — for example, a nickname, abbreviation, or typo is used — the payment is automatically rejected and returned to the sender.

How to fix it

  1. Check your exact registered name in MiniPay (Settings → Profile).

  2. Ask your sender to initiate the transfer again using your exact registered name — no nicknames, abbreviations, or variations.

Still having trouble?

If the transfer is still being rejected after the sender has used your exact name, contact Noah support via the (?) button in MiniPay (Home → Deposit → Virtual Bank Account → tap the (?) button). If Noah does not respond within 3–5 business days, contact MiniPay support through the in-app Help menu.
