Most MiniPay transfers happen in seconds! But if you are depositing or withdrawing local cash, your transaction is handled by a third-party partner and might take a little longer.
Do not worry—most "delays" clear up on their own once the network or the payment partner confirms the transaction.
⏱️ How Long Should It Take?
Before you worry, check if your transfer is still within the normal wait time:
Sending to another MiniPay wallet: Usually takes seconds.
Depositing or withdrawing local cash: Give it some extra time. Mobile money and local bank networks can be slower during busy hours.
Euro (SEPA) virtual account: Usually instant.
US Dollar (ACH) virtual account: Can take 1 to 2 business days.
Cashback & Boost rewards: These are not instant. Boost rewards are paid daily, and Cashback can take 30 to 60 days to process.
🔍 What to Check First
Check the status in your app: Open your transaction history to see if it says Pending, Processing, or Complete.
Double-check the details: Did you send it to the correct person? Was it on the correct network?
Wait for the alert: You will receive a notification on your phone the moment your funds land.
⚠️ Important Things to Know
Transfers cannot be reversed: MiniPay runs on the blockchain, which means completed transfers cannot be undone. If you sent money to the wrong person, we cannot reverse it from our side—you will need to contact the person directly.
Used the wrong network? Direct deposits MUST be cUSD, USDT, or USDC on the Celo network. If you sent funds on the wrong network, they are unfortunately lost. (Always use the Daimo option inside the app for other networks).
Partner delays: If you are converting local cash, any delays are usually on the payment partner's end. They just need a little extra time to safely process your request!
