Waranty

The 5-year warranty applies to products excluding Mill Heat Pumps (see separate article)

Mill offers consumers a 5-year warranty. When you purchase a product from Mill, you can be assured of high quality and a long product lifespan.

Warranty Terms

This warranty grants the customer the right, at Mill’s reasonable discretion, to either repair, replace a defective product, or alternatively receive a refund.

The warranty covers only defects originating from Mill. Therefore, the customer does not have a valid warranty claim if the defect is the result of circumstances such as:

  • Negligent use, misuse, neglect, or careless handling of the product not in accordance with Mill’s user instructions.

  • Defects caused by transportation outside of Mill’s responsibility.

  • Normal wear and tear, including parts that may wear out over time, such as batteries for remote controls (if applicable), filters, pipes, and lamps for outdoor heating, etc.

  • Damage due to use that does not comply with rated power and Hz.

  • Damage caused by insufficient product maintenance.

  • Damage from power outages, power surges, and/or weather conditions.

  • Damage resulting from failure to install or assemble the product in accordance with Mill’s user instructions.

  • Use of parts and accessories, such as filters, that are not officially Mill-certified components.

  • Repairs or modifications carried out by anyone other than Mill or its authorized agents.

  • Minor deviations from stated quality that are insignificant to the product’s value and usability, or deviations that the customer could reasonably expect.

  • Devices used with third-party software or equipment.

  • Software and connectivity issues due to local limitations in access to our cloud services.

  • Software and connectivity issues caused by unsupported third-party devices.

  • Downtime of the app or cloud/network service is not covered by the warranty.

For business customers, a warranty period of 2 years applies. Only products under the Mill brand have a warranty period of 5 years.

The 5-year warranty applies only to products purchased after November 1, 2022. A 2-year warranty applies to all products purchased before this date.

This warranty does not grant the customer or any third party the right to damages, financial compensation, or price reductions. Mill has no obligation under this warranty to cover any losses incurred by the customer or a third party.

These warranty terms are only valid for customers who purchase products through authorized Mill retailers. Repairs carried out under this warranty do not result in renewal of the warranty period or the start of a new warranty period. However, the warranty period will be extended by 6 months.

The customer’s rights and remedies under applicable mandatory law are not limited or affected by this warranty.

The seller will handle the warranty claim on behalf of Mill. To make a claim under this warranty, follow the steps described below.

Claims Process & Required Documentation

  • Contact the authorized Mill retailer where you purchased the product. Bring the original purchase receipt, the product’s serial number, and the defective product.

  • The Mill retailer will test the product and assess whether the claim is covered by the warranty.

  • If the claim is covered by the warranty, the Mill retailer will decide whether the product should be repaired, replaced, or refunded.
