Dear colleagues,

Based on our positive experience last year, and the need to keep fostering the bank’s information security culture, we are excited to announce that we have two mandatory Security Awareness courses planned for this year.

The first one, ‘2024 KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training’ will be available in June and you have until the end of Aug to complete it. The second course covers the topic of AI Chatbots and will be available in September, you have until the end of November to complete it.

Steps to Access the Portal:

You can access the training portal here:

  1. Under MCB Group Apps, you will find Information Security Awareness Training

In addition to these courses we will also conduct various phishing exercises throughout the year. Should you fail these exercises, you may be required to complete a phishing course to sharpen your skills in detecting and defeating phishing emails.

Whether at work or at home, people around the world are inundated with millions of phishing threats every day. Cyber criminals evolve and look for ever-more sophisticated ways to trick would-be victims into “click the link”. This all-new, animated course builds awareness about phishing threats with easy-to-apply best practices about how to recognize and defend against them.

Cybercrime is a threat to both professional and personal security. Uncover the tactics cybercriminals try to use against you and your organization in this fully immersive course. This interactive course will set you on the road to success when facing cyberthreats. In this course, you will learn to recognize the warning signs of common cyberattacks and then explore your role in keeping yourself and our organization safe.

In this module, employees will learn what an AI (Artificial Intelligence) chatbot is, when and how it is appropriate to use, what the security and privacy risks of using AI chatbots are, and how to identify when an AI chatbot provides biased or inaccurate information. This module will cover Natural Language Processing (NLP) or generative AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT, Bard, or Bing.

If you have any questions about this program or suggestions on how to improve it, please contact the Information Security Department at Asksecurity@mcb-bank.com.
