What is 'Automatic event upload blocking'?

When system detects more than 20 events uploaded within a 5-minute span, the automatic upload of camera events will be blocked for Howen and Streamax cameras.

📘 Please check if the camera configuration was set correctly.


Where you'll see it

You may find the warning Camera blocked after clicking on the warning icon next to a particular camera device in the Camera Settings section.


Set up an alert

To get an alert every time a camera gets blocked:

  1. Go to the Settings module and then Alert settings.

  2. Click on ADD NEW ALERT and select the Camera technical alert (located under the Technical alerts) — or edit an existing one.

  3. Mark the checkbox named Device event blocking.

  4. Below, select where you want to receive the alert

  5. Click on SAVE to submit the changes.

This will send the alert to the selected alert receiving options. ​​


Deactivate the automatic blocking

On the Camera Settings section, click on the particular camera's pencil icon in the 'Edit settings' column on the far right, navigate to the Camera details tab, and in the Events restriction uncheck the Restrict box.
