For a detailed guide on inserting new S5 keys into the Key Automat, please visit: Inserting New iLOQ S5 Keys.

If you are experiencing difficulties with this process, please follow these steps to diagnose and address the issue:

  1. Navigate to the Key Automats list view: Key Automats.

  2. Access the detailed view of the specific Key Automat by clicking on its listing.

  3. From the top right corner, click the three dots menu โ†’ Select "Logs" to view the Key Automat's logs.

1. Key is in Factory State

Only keys that are programmed to belong to the same locking system as the LivionKey20 can be inserted into the Key Automat.

2. Key Has Existing Access Rights

When inserting new S5 keys into the Key Automat, the presence of existing access rights does not necessarily hinder the process. However, the method of insertion plays a crucial role:

  • Via User Interface (UI): Administrators can insert keys with existing access rights through the UI. During this process, the key will be deactivated, allowing for new configurations without regard to its previous settings.

  • Via NFC Reader: The front NFC functionality is specifically designed for inserting new, admin-designated keys that have no existing access rights. This restriction is in place to prevent unauthorized or accidental use of personal keys (such as those belonging to children or customers) which might not be intended for return. The NFC reader does not accept keys that are already in use for security reasons, ensuring only appropriate keys are added to the system.

3. API User Lacks Zone Access

If the access rights are assigned to a zone outside of the API userโ€™s permitted zones, they cannot be recognized. To fix this:

  • Check and adjust the zones assigned to the API user to ensure they include the necessary access rights.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Use the API user credentials to log in to the iLOQ Manager and view or manage the accessible data.

4. Key Has Standard Access Rights

If a key with standard access rights has been inserted, refer to the following article for further guidance: Standard vs. API Access Rights.

5. Key is Blocklisted

Blocklisted keys are prohibited from being inserted into the Key Automat.
