Guide: Create an Event

Follow the steps below to complete your Event Info page

Create a New Event

  1. Go the Events page on the left-hand side

  2. Click New Event

Add Main Info

  1. Event Name - title of event that will display on the customer's ticket

  2. Short Description - optional, 140 characters or under

  3. Full Description - summarise the event to customers


Artwork & Media

Event Logo

  1. Choose from the following options:

    1. Add a jpg or .png image that will be used for the customer facing booking flow, no larger than 1MB

      NOTE - The best image dimensions for the booking flow would be 725 x 260px (72 dpi). Otherwise, we recommend anything square, between 400 x 400px and 800 x 800px (72dpi).

    2. Or leave the image field blank if you'd like the Event title as the image for the Online Booking Flow. Example of how this looks below:


Event Carousel

  1. Adding images here will appear on the Event Info Page of the Online Booking Flow.
    Example URL: https://line-up-training.pages.dev/event/56215/info


Extras

  1. Optional fields to enter:

    1. Tags - for internal use, these will appear on your Event list

    2. Running Time - length of Event in minutes

    3. Interval? - if yes, select the box and enter the Event interval length in minutes

    4. External ID - for internal use, a unique identifier for the Event

    5. View From Seat Base URL - only for use by theatres with an integration with PreeVue. Contact Support if you would like to know more.


Location

  1. Either:

    1. Select your Venue from the dropdown

    2. Or add a new one by clicking New Venue

Channel Access

  1. Select which Channels can access this Event

  2. This can also be controlled on the Performances page once these are created
    ​NOTE - You will need to create your Channels before this step.


Booking Info

  • Optional - enter info which may be visible to customers as part of the booking process, depending on which Channel and/or Purchase Flow they book through

  • If you are adding the Website Channel, this appears on the left hand side bar on the booking flow


Submit Event

  1. Click Submit and your Event will be created. You can always make changes or add the above info once the Event has been submitted.
