What it's for
The Format function is a little hidden, but very useful: it lets you take content generated by Lexroom — often in prose form — and reshape it into a different format, for example:
A professional email
A short message
A bulleted list
A table
An article for a journal
A social media post (e.g. LinkedIn)
Where to find it
The function appears after you've generated an answer in Ask Lexroom (modules selected, query entered, any files attached and the answer generated): you'll find it at the top, next to the prompt you formulated.
How to use it
Click Format: a window opens in which Lexroom reminds you of the tasks you can request
Clicking on the window opens the screen where you enter the formatting prompt: specify the desired format, the content to include and the tone to use (e.g. "Turn the answer into a professional email for the client, in a formal tone, including…")
If you need to, from the Ask Lexroom button you can go back to the original conversation to compare the generated content and refine the prompt
Press Send and wait for processing
The result
You get a preview of the content in the new format (in the video example: the text of an email with the specified requirements). At this point you can:
Copy the proposed content
Export it to PDF or Word
