How to submit a query
Select one or more reference modules for the query (for example: Criminal law)
Write the query in the relevant field
When both steps are complete, the arrow turns blue and becomes clickable
Click the arrow: the platform proceeds to generate the answer
The arrow won't turn blue? Check the length
If the query exceeds 6,000 characters, the platform won't send it:
The arrow stays grey and isn't clickable, even if you've selected the relevant module
The query window is highlighted in red
A notice appears stating that the prompt has exceeded 6,000 characters
Solution: shorten the query to under 6,000 characters. If you need to provide a lot of context (for example the text of a document), attach it as a file instead of pasting it into the query — see how to upload files to Lexroom.
It also applies in Document Drafting
In Document Drafting you don't select modules, but the 6,000-character limit applies in the same way: if the prompt is longer, the arrow won't turn blue and you can't proceed.
Still need help?
