This article covers a step-by-step walkthrough of how to create, build, customise and export reports and Dashboards.
If you prefer video-based learning, here's a video which walks through the steps in this tutorial:
Getting Started
To explore and export your data in charts, tables and graphs, go to the dashboard by clicking on the dashboard icon in the navigation panel.
Create a Dashboard
Create a new Dashboard to start making charts and graphs. You can create up to 5 different Dashboards. To get started, click ‘Create Dashboard’ , and enter a name and description for the dashboard.
The dashboard should now load - if you have existing dashboards, you can navigate between them using the left-hand side panel. To begin visualising data, click the Add Chart button.
Build your reports
Dashboards are useful for getting quick, visual data to share with stakeholders or use as part of project or funding proposals. Let’s take a look at a working example of a council EV team who want to consider the distribution of existing EV Charge Points (EVCPs) in their region.
First, load the dataset we wish to create the graph for - in this case, EV Charge Points. The list of datasets you can generate graphs and charts for may vary region to region, and depending on your permissions in the platform.
Next, select from a range of Chart types. Bar chart is our choice in the pictured example. Select your X-axis, and determine whether or not you’d like to add a series (you can add multiple for more complex charts).
In this case, the X-axis is 'town' (a list of the attributes appear as a drop-down when you click on the boxes below X-Axis/Series), and the Series we’d like to use is 'Charge Device Status'.
Finally, you can optionally apply an Aggregate Function - with the options being 'Count', 'Sum' and 'Average'. We’ll use 'Count' to count the number of unique chargeDeviceIDs (EVCPs) in each town. Once ready click ‘Create Chart’ and the chart will load.
Customise and export a chart
Here’s the chart we just created! You can see a number of icons which allow users to customise or export a chart:
The pencil icon is used to change the name of a chart.

The top-right hand side icons are:

Fullscreen mode
Delete chart
