Submitting Data for Multiple Studies in a Tax Year

If you had multiple study rooms in one assessment year, for example because you moved house and therefore used two study rooms for which the actual costs should be taken into account, we ask you to submit the data for both study rooms via our WebApp using your computer.

ℹ️ Note: Instead of the actual costs, a lump sum of EUR 1,260 can be claimed for your study from 2023. If you want to make use of the lump sum, select the following answer to the question: Is the business activity mainly carried out from home? Select the following answer: "No, I only do my office work at home".

Important requirements for considering actual costs:

  • The study must be in a separate, enclosed area.

  • The workplace must be used almost exclusively for business purposes.

How to submit data for both studies:

  1. Check the requirements: Ensure that the above requirements are met for both studies.

  2. Enter data for the first study: Fill in the details for your first study in the WebApp as usual.

  3. Questionnaire for the second study: If the requirements are also met for your second or new study, please fill out the attached questionnaire for the second study - You will find the questionnaire at the bottom of the page "Template questions further study.xlsx". Use the "Explanations" field to provide additional details, such as usage of the study by family members or housemates.

  4. Document upload:

    • Go to the "Home office" section in the document upload.

    • Click on the small plus symbol to add more information.

    • Upload the completed questionnaire for the second study under the category "Miscellaneous."

    • Upload all expenses for the second study under the respective categories (e.g., "2. Rent/Interest").

By following these steps, you ensure that all relevant data for both studies is accurately recorded and submitted. If you have any further questions or need assistance, our support team is happy to help.
