Why am I receiving a phone call during my carpool?

To help keep our community safe and reliable, some carpools may be subject to a verification call during the ride. These calls are used to confirm that the declared carpool matches the trip being taken.

To preserve the effectiveness of these checks, we do not disclose the selection criteria or the details of our verification methods.

In accordance with our Terms and Conditions, members are required to cooperate with these verification checks.

How does the verification call work?

During the call, you will be asked to confirm certain information related to your account or your current carpool.

As road safety is our priority, only passengers are called directly. If the verification concerns the driver, they will be asked to answer using the speakerphone so they do not have to handle their phone while driving.

Are my personal data protected? Yes. The information collected is used solely to verify the authenticity of the carpool and is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

How can I identify a genuine verification call?

Our calls come from an unknown phone number. If you are unsure whether the call is genuine, you can check the following:

  • the call takes place while a carpool is in progress;

  • if you do not answer or if the call is interrupted, you may receive a confirmation SMS (authenticated on RCS-compatible devices);

  • the SMS includes a link to the app's official FAQ.

What happens if I don't answer?

If we are unable to complete the verification after several attempts, or if the verification cannot be completed, your account may be suspended in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
