Overview
Course Creator builds your course from a document you upload. This article covers what you can upload, the two presentation types to choose from, and the requirements your source content needs to meet for the best results. Accepted file types
You can upload:
Word documents (.doc, .docx)
PDFs (.pdf)
PowerPoint presentations (.ppt, .pptx)
The maximum upload size is 500MB.
Note: Images (.jpg, .png) can be added as supporting material inside a course, but can't be used as a source of course text — any text inside an image can't be read or extracted.
Presentation types
Course Creator offers two presentation types of your content:
Text-based course — your content is AI-transformed and structured to meet eLearning best practices. Supports all file types.
PowerPoint course — your slide designs appear exactly as you have them. Supports .ppt and .pptx files.
If you want your course to keep your exact design and text — including any images, illustrations, or infographics — build it in PowerPoint and choose PowerPoint course as the presentation type. Your slides appear exactly as you made them, with all visuals intact.
Adding images to a course
You can add images within the text sections of a course using the section editor. Each section has a Body field with an image button in the toolbar — click it to insert an image alongside your text.
Full-width images: an image needs to be at least 800 pixels wide to appear full-width. Images 800px or wider are automatically inserted to fill the slide width; anything narrower is inserted at its original size and won't stretch.
Minimum word count
A document must contain at least 500 words to be processed. For best results, aim for 1,500–2,000 words — the tool performs best when content is detailed and specific to your training subject. A common use case is turning an internal policy or procedure into a course, in which case we suggest uploading the whole document for full coverage.
Note: If your document is too short, you'll get an email saying "Document is too small to process."

Can I use a scanned document or an image of text?
No. Text inside an image can't be read or extracted, so it won't be used as course content. Upload the text as a Word, PDF, or PowerPoint file instead.
