How to create your Huma App account

This help guide walks you through how to register and activate your Huma App account

After your care team speaks with you about Huma, they will send an invite allowing you to activate and create your Huma account.

Invites can be sent to you via two key methods:

  1. SMS Text Message

  2. Email

1. Creating your Huma account from an SMS Text Message Invite

If you have been sent an invite SMS Text message, please do the following:

  • Check that you have received a Text message inviting you to sign up to Huma

  • Click on the link within the text message to download the Huma app

    • Whether you own an iPhone or an Android phone, the link will take you to the respective app store to download the Huma app

  • Once the Huma app has downloaded, tap to open it and tap on 'sign in to my account'

  • The app will then ask how you received your Huma invite, tap on 'by text message' and enter the mobile phone number you received the Invite text message on

  • You will receive a text message with a verification code, enter this into the app

  • You will be presented with a short onboarding / profile questionnaire for completion

  • Done! You have now created your Huma app account!

2. Creating your Huma account from an Email invite

If you have been sent an invite Email, please do the following:

  • Open your email client app on your smartphone

  • Check that you have received an Email inviting you to sign up to Huma

    • Note, if you cannot see an email in your inbox, check your spam / junk folder

  • The email will detail two steps

1. Download the Huma app

  • You should see two app store buttons, iOS App store and Google Play app store. Click on the relevant button to download the Huma app for your smartphone.

2. Activate your account

Method 1: "Activate your account"

  1. Once you have downloaded the Huma app, return to the Invite email, scroll down and click on the big grey 'activate your account' button.

  2. The Huma app will automatically open the Huma app on your smartphone and start the account registration process

  3. Set a password and complete the short onboarding / profile questionnaire

Note, if you are unable to register your account using the above method, there is a secondary method you can try to register for an account - please see 'Method 2' below.

Method 2: 'Activation code'

  1. Once you have downloaded the Huma app, return to the Invite email, scroll down and note down the 'activation code' located at the bottom of the invite email

  2. Open the Huma app and tap on 'Getting started'

  3. Enter the activation code and tap 'Submit activation code' to start the account registration process

  4. Set a password and complete the short onboarding / profile questionnaire

Done! You have now created your Huma app account!
