Welcome to Huma

Huma is a healthcare and technology company that makes an app for your smartphone. Huma’s app tracks your health and keeps you in touch with your care team. You can share with your care team the information you put into the Huma app, helping them to take better care of you. We hope that you will find this app useful. The Huma app contains a to-do list, enables you to track different vital signs, and provides links to other information about your condition. Engaging with the app and completing activities is important as it will help you be able to share information with your team. This will allow them to support you when you’re at home. It is designed to provide you with the resources, information, guidance and support you need during your patient journey.

While the Huma app is designed to make your experience easier, it does not replace your care team. Should you need any urgent care please contact them or visit your emergency department immediately.

Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects to Takeda products.

You are encouraged to report side effects or quality issues to Takeda at AE.CAN@takeda.com. If you prefer, you can report to the Health Authority.

Questionnaires

You will be asked to complete a few questionnaires throughout the process. These questionnaires have been carefully selected to assess your well-being. You will receive these once you sign up to the Huma app and subsequently upon your clinical team’s discretion.

These questionnaires will help your clinical team track your progress over time and help them review your health and the progress of your recovery. So, it’s important that you complete each one as accurately as you can, however, for best results, we recommend that you do not complete them until you are promoted to do so.

Reporting your symptoms

Every week, we’ll ask you to report what symptoms you are experiencing. In addition there is an opportunity for you to proactively report your symptoms and track them over time so you can discuss them with your care team.

Vital signs – You’ll be asked to connect your Fitbit device so that it can monitor vital signs and activity levels associated with your health condition. Choosing to connect your device is voluntary, however, without this integration, your vital signs and activity levels cannot be monitored by your care team. Huma takes your privacy seriously, and your data will always be kept secure. Please note that if you have been provided a Fitbit device from your care team, you will be asked to return the device to them once you stop using the Huma app for any reason including if we make the app no longer available. Please note the Fitbit device: 1) does not constitute as a gift; 2) is only intended as a loan from your care team during the usage of the Huma app and; 3) must be returned to your care team (who will provide instructions for return) upon termination of the app usage for any reason including the app no longer being available.
