What to do if you are unable to download Huma on your Android Phone

This help guide walks you through a few troubleshooting steps you can try if you are unable to download Huma from the Google Play Store

If you are unable to download the Huma Android smartphone app, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Android phone reboot: Restart your Android Phone by turning the device off and back on, then try to download Huma from the Google Play App Store

  • Outdated version of Android?: It is possible that you are running a version of Android that is not supported by Huma. To download and install the Huma app you must have Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and upwards. Check what version of Android your smartphone is running and update to the latest version if possible.   • Poor internet connection?: You must have an internet connection to download the Huma app. Check that you have a working and stable, internet connection (#TIP: Try downloading Huma on 4G or 5G if your Wi-Fi / internet connection is poor and vice versa)

  • Lack of storage space?: You may have insufficient space on your phone to download and install the Huma app (#TIP: Free up space by deleting unused apps to be able to download Huma)

  • Applicable Google Play Store: The Huma app is available in a limited amount of countries / geographies: UK, EU, South Africa, Republic of Ireland, USA, Dubai, Saudi Arabia. Please make sure you are logged into an app store of the above geographies / countries.

  • Logged into the Google Play Store: Make sure you have access to the Google Play Store and are logged in. If you cannot remember your ID and/or Password, you will need to reset this to sign into the Google Play Store and download the Huma app.

  • Google Play App cache + data: A possible fix could be to clear your Google Play App cache and data. For more information on how to do this, click here

  • Download Huma in 'Safe Mode': You can try to download Huma for Android whilst in Safe Mode. Enter Safe Mode on your device, and try to download Huma from the Google Play App Store. If successful, restart your phone as normal (i.e. not in Safe Mode) and see if you can use the Huma app. For more information on 'safe mode' click here

  • Incorrect device: Please note that the Huma app is a smartphone app and can only be downloaded and used on a smartphones (Android or iPhone). We currently do not support tablet devices e.g. Samsung Galaxy Tab or desktop or laptop computers.
