Music: Only for purchase of tracks, albums and music pass on Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 PCs and tablets, or music pass on Xbox One (Xbox Live required).

Terms & Conditions

  • You can't use Microsoft or Xbox gift cards to purchase content from the Xbox 360 Marketplace or Xbox 360 content on the Xbox One.

  • When you purchase a Microsoft or Xbox gift card, make sure that the currency you use matches the currency associated with the recipient's billing account. Otherwise, the recipient will be unable to redeem the gift card.

  • If you redeem a Microsoft or Xbox gift card in a country that doesn't match the country associated with your billing account, you won't be able to use those funds.

  • The funds in your Microsoft account can't be transferred after you redeem a Microsoft or Xbox gift card.

Balance Check

When you redeem a gift card or code, that amount gets added to your Microsoft account balance. To view and manage your account balance, sign in to your Microsoft account.

Once you're signed in, choose Payment & billing > Payment options.

To check your Microsoft account balance on your Xbox console:

  1. Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

  2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account.

  3. Select Payment & billing and select the Microsoft account tile to view your account balance.

Valid For

Non-promotional balances do not expire. Any promotional balance in your account is subject to expiration as set forth in the terms of the promotion.
