You should be, now you are on Hero there is a more efficient way to get your patients to book appointments with you.
We will cover the 5 easy steps to get your appointment booking online. You may have already completed some of these steps during your setup.
Step 1: Create a location
Navigate to Setting>Integration>EMIS and open the tab Locations.
Click the Add location button and search for the location name and click save.
Step 2: Create a Practitioner
Navigate to Setting>Integration>EMIS and open the tab Practitioners.
Click the Add practitioner button and search for the practitioner name and click save.
Click edit to customise the patient-facing information
Step 3: Create an Appointment
Navigate to Setting>Integration>EMIS and open the tab Slot types.
Click the Add slot type button and search for the slot type name and click save.
Click edit to customise the patient-facing information
Step 4: Turn on EMIS connection
Open the drop-down menu under Unregistered patient booking and select the slot type "Hero Unregistered Patient", (you may need to create this in EMIS if it is not in the menu).
Finally, turn on the button Enable and click Test connection, if this returns successful you are ready to for next step.
Step 5: Create and send your booking link
Now you have set everything up, you can invite your patients to book.
Open the appointments page and find the appointment you would like to invite patients to, click Options>Create link, select your locations, choose your practitioner (optional) click Create.
You can now paste the link to your messaging platform of choice and invite your patients to book.
