One of Hero's core functions is to make your appointment available online for booking, however, we understand that there is fear of having the wrong patient booking in, for example, a male booking a smear test.
For this reason, we have added the feature of restricting appointments based on age and sex. Below it a step-by-step guide on how to set these up.
Step 1: Login into Hero and open the slot-type menu
Firstly sign into Hero, and open the slot-types page (https://herohealth.net/admin/emis_settings#slot-types) or navigate through Setting>Integration>EMIS>Slot-types.
Step 2: Find or add your slot type
Once you have opened the slot-type page, find the slot type you wish to make available online, if you can't find it in the list you may need to add it to Hero. (To add a slot type, click Add slot-type and search for the slot type name)
After you have found or added your slot type go to Options>Edit, this will open the appointment template page.
Step 3: Add restrictions
Scroll down to the Online booking section and Who can book this appointment? then select Patient profiles and specify your restrictions.
Once you have added your restrictions click Save in the top right of the page.
Step 4: Create your booking link
Now that you have added your restriction, you can go to the home page and click Create booking link, then simply go through and build your link. You can now add this link to your website, social media, or any other patient-facing service you have.
