Who should be cautious using Huel Powder?

People with diabetes, PKU, pregnancy, children under 4, or those on regular medication should consult a doctor before using Huel Powder.

Written by Jamie Forbes

Huel Powder is suitable for the vast majority of people as part of a balanced diet, but there are some groups who should take extra care or seek medical guidance first.

Who should consult a doctor first

Diabetes: Huel contains carbohydrates from low-GI sources like oats and tapioca. Discuss portion sizes and frequency with your clinician before starting.

PKU and metabolic conditions: Some metabolic disorders require careful management of specific amino acids or nutrients. Speak to your doctor before use.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Safe in moderation — a maximum of one serving per day is recommended. Always consult your midwife or doctor first.

Children under 4: Huel Powder is not suitable for children under 4 years old.

Medications: Some nutrients in Huel can interact with certain prescribed medications. If you take regular medication, check with your doctor before use.
