What is "Driver Privacy Mode" for?

Updated this week

Driver Privacy Mode helps protect drivers’ privacy by preventing video livestreaming and access to footage from the Memory card for driver-facing (DMS) cameras.

When this mode is enabled, the DMS channel will not be visible on the Livestream or Memory card solutions. This makes it easier to follow company privacy policies, union agreements, or local data protection laws.

✅When an enabled DMS behaviour is detected, the event will still be generated and shown in the Camera Events section.

Enable driver privacy mode

  1. Go to Cameras -> Camera settings.

  2. Look for the camera device you need.

  3. Click the pencil icon on the "Edit settings" column.

  4. Go to the "Camera safety" tab.

  5. Under the "Privacy Mode" section, enable the toggle button.

  6. Click the Update button at the bottom.

📘 If this setting is not available , it could mean DMS has not been enabled or configured for this camera.

Disable driver privacy mode

To turn off or disable privacy mode, follow the same steps as above, but instead, disable the toggle button so that it is greyed-out.
