A fleet manager might mark a vehicle as unavailable when it’s in the workshop for maintenance or repairs, waiting for inspection, or simply not in use for a while. This helps keep daily operations accurate and avoids confusion.
While a vehicle is marked as unavailable, alerts for that vehicle are automatically turned off, so you won’t receive unnecessary notifications. You can do this anytime directly from the vehicle’s settings.
On the map, the vehicle will be marked in purple with the status 'Service' displayed to all users with access rights to the vehicle.
🔔 Marking a vehicle as unavailable won’t hide it or prevent drivers from selecting it in the Driver app. If the vehicle starts moving, status changes like 'Driving', 'Stopped', or 'Idling' won’t be visible until it’s available again.
Mark a vehicle as unavailable
To mark a vehicle as unavailable:
Go to that vehicle's settings.
Change to the "Other data" tab.
Mark the checkbox "Mark vehicle as unavailable".
Add a date for when should the vehicle become available again.
Optionally, add a "reason" and a phone number for your colleagues.
Click "Save" at the bottom.
The vehicle will now be marked as unavailable and will become available again when the date entered comes.
Additionally, it can become available at any time if the checkbox is unmarked.
