How can I check Remote download support?
Updated over 8 months ago

You can check any tachograph vehicle file (even tachograph vehicle files from vehicles unrelated to our platform) to verify that the tachograph device, where this file came from, can support remote tachograph file downloads.

📘 We recommend to use this to check tachograph devices for any new vehicle before adding them to the Tachograph solution.

For units already added to the solution, you will be able to see here, if remote downloads are supported.

Check if Remote downloads are Supported

  1. Go to the Tachograph data downloads section and at the top right corner, click on the CHECK REMOTE DOWNLOAD SUPPORT button.

  2. Drag and drop a vehicle file in this window or click the SELECT FROM COMPUTER button to find it and select it from your computer file browser.

  3. You will see the name of the file, the tachograph information and under 'Notes', you will see the different results. Hover over the information icon to learn more about these results.

  • Supported: We have experience downloading files from this kind of tachograph.

  • Ready for testing: We don't have experience downloading files from this kind of tachograph. Testing is required.

  • VDO CTC programmer needed: VDO CTC programmer is required to enable remote data downloading.

  • Additional equipment needed: Remote data download may be possible with additional equipment.

  • Not supported: The tachograph does not support remote data downloading.
