Our allergy tests measure IgE antibodies in your blood. Antihistamines work by blocking histamine receptors in the body, but they do not change the level of IgE antibodies, which means they do not affect the test results.

This is different from certain skin allergy tests performed in clinics, where antihistamines may need to be stopped beforehand. Blood-based IgE tests are not affected by antihistamine use.
