How to set the exact position and dimensions of Garden Objects and Shapes on your plan for maximum accuracy using an iPhone or Android phone

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Double-tap on the item on your plan (or tap on it once then tap on the Edit button in your plan's toolbar).

Garden Planner - Edit shapes and Garden Objects

You can then set the exact position, dimensions, and degrees of rotation for that object.

Setting Coordinates of Garden Objects and Shapes

To set the position of most Garden Objects and Shapes you need to know the position of the center of the object at X (horizontally from the left hand side your plan) and Y (vertically down from the top of your plan).

For some objects, such as raised beds, you can choose to set either the internal or the exterior measurement.

You can then set the width and height (length) of the object, and set the degrees of rotation if the object is to be positioned at an angle.

Click Done to save your changes.

Setting Coordinates of Lines, Fences etc

Line 'shapes' and Garden Objects that are added like lines (e.g. Fences and Paths) behave slightly differently, and their co-ordinates are set more like plants.

Add the item to your plan then double-tap on it (or tap on it once then tap on the Edit Item button in your plan's toolbar).

Set the coordinates for where your line Starts at X (horizontally from the left hand side your plan) and Y (vertically down from the top of your plan).

Then set the coordinates for where your line Ends to indicate its position on the screen.

Tap Done to save your changes.
